Cry Havoc and Let Slip the Dogs of War


Dogs of War clan has roots at least as far back as 1999 when we were playing Quake 2 CTF over dial-up in western Kentucky, USA. While members of that core group are still present, the clan has transcended through numerous games with the clan growing to its largest size during days of FEAR Combat. DoW has recently moved on to the latest incarnation of Battlefield and continues to be comprised of members from around the world. Bad Company 2, as it's known, is an entirely new game for the 'Dogs and we are actively recruiting new members for the clan. If you're a good BC2 player and are interested in joining our group, please contact us for possible membership.

            Spring Fever has hit the Dogs. Fresh meat has arrived in the form of Battlefield: Bad Company2.

Dogs of War Clan pack leader [DoW]Rapier along with [DoW]___Viper had been hitting the pavement of beta release Battlefield during February with a special thanks to TOC clan. [DoW]___Viper has called it quits with COD4, and we all know how the FEAR2 went howling down the toilet. So, it is time to Paw up and get back into the Dog House!

[DoW]Rapier has committed the Dogs to a Battlefield server! Time to Bury some Bones with blood and guts on the Battlefield. This will be a pack(squads) orientated game. Several packs running wild to achieve the Victory should be fun. [DoW]Dogs, Hellraiser, Clown, Painkiller have all been potential  packrunners. We need the rest of the Dogs to Tail up Now.

New Dog Server 208.167.248.141:19567 starts Monday 3-8-2010

New puppy wanna be recruits, post on our forums your interest, play our server often, most importantly be a team player. Have a set of headphones with a mic! We must be able to communicate and strategize. Do not ask more than once in a game if you can be in the clan. We will tell you to post on our forum, then leave it at that. Show us thru game play you can play with the Dogs. Accept a task, if the pack needs an engineer on the squad, you may be it. No Rambo’s wanted, they get kills but never objectives needed to win.

Viper writes " Well, the DOGS have been restless, and less than attentive with current crop of games. The DoW Clan had a rough transition with COD4 as a clan. Not many former Fear clans had a very good rollover, a quick demise within COD4 occured with some. The CTF did not do well in the server list of thousands, with only 3 or 4 ctf servers.  
I purchased, as others did as well, Far Cry, Crysis and have yet to play either for more than half an hour at a time, Crysis was truly tough on my system. Many Dogs did well and enjoyed those, just never grabbed me. DoW Viper went and played the other release of Fear which I never finished and enjoyed the single player.
 Some of our old ctf faces still in FEAR DEADWOOD as I checked in after reloading game with anticipation of FEAR2.
I promptly got laughed at for being out of sync with my DoW Easybeat "wanna be" slide kick.
 Today was this Dogs B-Day and got me some stash Cash for the new FEAR 2! Who is joining the FEAR surge? any new puppies out there who want to kick it with the Dogs? The core crew is here and I know we will have a few Bones of discussion. A CTF version , Mech's, we all have seen previews, we maybe played the demo some, now its time to pony up strong for this release.
 The Dog pack will be looking to run fast and crap in some yards! Check back and we shall be evaluating the game, new members and clans to "LEG UP ON"

Ø      Sunday Sessions are where to be on Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!!  The DoW Dogs are continuing our weekly Sunday afternoon sessions. This week we had some visiting clans, *DOW* and STK with aSu Breeze making an appearance. Overall we had 3-3 for a full map rotation and was good fast paced fun. Mark it down, Sunday 4pm EST for the weekly bone jarring episode.

Ø      Dog Viper has a new mouse, and excuse, for spotting on the rug.

Ø      We have the GSC up and running at this address on gsc– thedowclan.com. This lets others chat with us who are not in the clan while we play. We would like anybody who runs  in our servers to hookup with the Pack on GSC voice, its Free! During any hardcore snarling territory spats, there are 2 channels under the lobby for team one and  two,  for evil chat for getting the big bone flag to your kennel.

Some may have noticed aSu was down for couple days. Clan leader Breeze stated matter of factly that all will be 100 percent shortly and that one of their servers is back up already. TOC forums are also back up after some issue. Nice having them with us now as they are FEAR oldsters who play well. Tie fighters are doing well on their server also, congrats. We may see new players from  *DOW* and STK and they have a combo team dm server that plays well, along with Gsc where you can hear them go “Viper killed me!” ? in a quasi quizzical way equated to the universe collapsing into a eternal black hole. Sickem’ fellow Dogs!

COD4 is running, and running in another server location yet to be determined.We are still juggling where we can average the best pings for our DoW clan.Many small changes to the server set-up and fine tuning of settings are almost completed.Tweaking speeds and other run of the mill items does take time.

We have managed to get the CTF type of gameplay into the game with a popular mod AWE4 and DoW Rapier has been in touch with the program man couple times to pick out issues and other variables for the final version.

FEAR clans we know well, (=O=) TF___aSu____TOC____have all set up COD4 aspects and we embrace kicking their arses around the new block. Talk about PACK WILD!
Congrats to our DoW Easybeat for some very nice recent icon changes and front page work for our new expanded home page. Look great and I think new DoW Teerr badge strikes the most FEAR in a crazy psychotic way.

It is almost time to get to our first clan match to mark our new territory, in our raised leg fashion. It will take some dog tired work to get it done, but we are looking at some new talent to fill the puppie pound ranks, help the older stud dogs out.
